Makeup Bag Snoop | Brook Dellar

30.8.14

This week I'm doing my fist ever collab! Exciting times! I came together with Brook from BrookDellar.co.uk to combine a post based on our top five makeup must haves...

Brook’s blog is SO up my street, her photography is amazing and I love her beauty reviews and layout, everything is fabulous. We decided it would be fun to have a snoop in each other’s makeup bag; I LOVE being nosey and looking in other people’s makeup bags so I was really excited to put this post together. I love to see what their face is made up of and other peoples staple products. We decided to show you our top five. I think a makeup bag says so much about a person. You can see mine on Brook’s blog here.
So let’s delve into Brook’s top five from her  makeup bag!..
"Recently I've been rummaging in the aisles of Boots for new beauty finds whether it be a new mascara, blush or lipstick but I always seem to come back to my trusty kit. When it comes to foundation, I'm a bit of makeup Margaret as I stick to something that works and for me that's the Revlon Colourstay in Buff. They've recently changed the formula, but the Combination / Oily Skin version works perfectly for me. It's so easy to blend, rewards a kick ass Medium coverage and doesn't cling to dry patches... bingo.
For those dreaded times where the Foundation just doesn't seem to do the trick, of course the well loved and well worth the hype Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair is always a winner. It does everything from covering under eye circles, to blemishes to highlighting (if you get a shade up!). Can't go wrong really!
With coverage covered, we've gotta whack on that eyeshadow. Now if you're as lazy as I am, an easy one wash brown eyeshadow is just what you need. My pick is Mac Eyeshadow in Woodwinked. This is a gorgeous deep brown with slight gold and red tones; stunning. Not only is it gorgeous on it's own but blended it out it creates a red tone in the crease which makes you look like you're a master makeup artist in smokey eyes... say wha.
Now us ladies can't be whacking on that eyeshadow without a good ole mascara to back us up. Here's my recent mascara find (Maxfactor 2000 Calorie Mascara), and don't get me wrong I'm a fussy bugger when it comes to mascaras but this is awesome. It lengthens, volumises and blackens each and every individual lash, and holds a curl too. Need I say more? To top off the smokey eye, there's nothing quite like a pink lip to pair alongside it. My favourite is Benefit's Posietint, just believe me when I say I've literally worn this non stop since I've got it. Perfect on the lips and really does make you look glowing even after a late night, perfection."
I hope you enjoyed this post, I loved collab'ing! Would it be something you would like to see more of in the future?
